Hard drive died yesterday on my powerbook g4 titanium HELP!!!???

my powerbook g4 titanium hard drive was makin weird noise and then it died and I can't get into operating system.
now when I power on my laptop it only shows now a square with a smile face and a question mark.

if I buy a new hard drive on ebay
how do I install the OS on the hard drive?
is it hard?
will I be able to install it by myself?
is there a website with the steps how to install the OS?

when I buy the harddrive can someone HELP ME OUT

Relax, the hardest part will be actually installing the Hard Drive. Once you have that done installing the OS is extremely easy. Just boot of the install disks that came with you computer or whatever OS installation disk you have. From there you just need to follow the prompts and it will be done in around 30-40 mins. Just follow one of the iFixit.com Powerbook guides. It's a great site - I've used it twice to replace my powerbook HDD. Couldn't be simpler. I'd advise you print out their document that keeps your screws in order as you take them out .
