Well the HD on my 2007 13" Macbook is dead again after Apple replaced it last year on the extension program they had for bad one's. I took it out and it is a Hitachi 160G 5400RPM.
I can't believe the one they said was defective lasted 3 yrs and this one only lasted 1 yr.

Can someone suggest a good hard drive (one that might last more than a year) to replace it with. I don't really need anything larger than 160 or 250G.

I will have to try to install the OS from an external DVD drive since the optical drive took a dump last year.

Thanx
Gill

That's not DOA. DOA means "Dead On Arrival." It may be dead, but if you've had it a year, it's not DOA.

Anyway, Western Digital is currently a good brand.

Thanx for the reply

LOL

I stand corrected...

how about....

"Don't Operate Anymore" :D

Western Digital sounds good to me..
