Hi all,

I'm looking for a good hard drive enclosure which has a relatively easy swapability for working on various PATA drives. Essentially, it's a technician tool to use when people bring me their hard drives. Firewire is a must and USB 2.0 would be nice. Anyone know of a good one?

The Acomdata 509 enclosure is pretty easy to swap out, 8 screws and sliding a couple things. Although, the connector is mounted to a circuit board and it occurred to me that if you swapped drives a bunch of times then maybe it would fatigue that. One with a cable might be more robust. I don't know anything though, maybe they are all like this one.

Thanks for your response... got me remembering that the Macally enclosure I used a while back used a ribbon cable. Seems like a smart thing to consider. However it didn't have a power switch, which I thought was annoying.
