Hello, recent Mac convert here. I still have to use Windows software so I have a Boot Camp partition as well as Parallels Desktop. When I boot straight into Boot Camp the hard drive freezes about every 5-10 minutes for about 15 seconds. I've watched this in the task manager. Activity goes to 100% but disk transfer goes to 0. While this is occurring Windows is responsive but any programs using the disk, like Google Chrome for example, become unresponsive during that time.
In Parallels, this does not occur so it seems like a driver issue. I've run Windows Update and everything is up to date.
My hard drive is SD512E, which I believe to be Sandisk. I run 3d modeling software so I need the full power of a direct boot to Windows on occasion. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
