in macHD-->users the system says there is 90 GB

inside macHD-->users there are two folders [my name](an alias). This leads to my computer, where all the selected files accumulate 28.8 GB. What is taking up all of the other two thirds of that space? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated :)

Take a look at DiskInventory X, OmniDiskSweeper, JDisk Report or GrandPerspective to see where your HDD space went to.

Hey thanks for the advise! I looked through my computer using those applications, but they didn't show me where that space is going. I'm wondering if my filevault is using all of my memory. I've tried to turn it off, but It says there isn't enogh room on my computer to do that. I only have a meager 30 gigs or so of personal stuff left on my computer because of this space issue, which I'm not going to delete. Any help or hypothesis would be greatly appreciated.
