Is there any reason why a G5 tower (2004-5)
will spit some DVDs out if the hard drive is full.

It started when only 7G of 160G remained

since then 43G have been cleared off.

Some DVDs are still being spit out - but they will play on other macs

I just want to make sure it is the drive

since the problem corresponded with the drive filling up

But you said you made some space on the drive, and it still does it? Sounds to me like the dvd drive either needs cleaned or is failing.
