Hard drive Gone?

I currently have a powebook G4, running OSX 10.5.8 512mb of ram, but today when I try booting up it makes a "clicking" sound repeatedly and only boots up as far as the white apple logo, then after about a minute of clicking it shuts down, and the process repeats

Is the hard drive gone?

I'm in the process of selling this on ebay, isit now time to relist as spares and repairs?
 
That does sound like a bad drive. Might be worth spending $50 for a new drive to get it running again to sell for more money.
