i am currenty replacing my macbooks 80 gb hard drive with a 120 gb. my 80gb has apparently failed so any ways i bought the hard drive that is recommended for it and it appears to be the same as the one im taking out. however when i attach the sliding case and slide it in, it feels like something is jammed on the left side and it wont go all the way in. any suggestions or idea why it wont slide in correctly?

If you can have a look/feel inside to see if something is there.

Also know, that pushing the HDD in requires some force, so when you made sure, nothing is in the way, give it a harder push.
You can try first with the older 80GB drive, to see if that actualy works.

tried the old one, it didnt work, there is some rubber looking thing in the way but i cant get it out, any idea what it is?

yea i did everything just like that, im prettty sure something has come loose fml
