I have a 500GB HD that has just 2GB available. However, my folders only add up to about 165GB. Any tips on how to find the offending files or a drive utility that can figure out what's up?

P.S. I have done a search to try and find some info on this and was wondering: Anyone else find that the search results in this forum are very weird. They seem totally random and not at all on point. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Again.

Ran Grand Perspective (very cool). It found almost 300GB of files in Private/var/log/asl.

Can I kill these and where is the setting to auto delete the f'ers.
