Hard Drive Locked - Please Advise

Hello, for some strange reason on of my external drives is locked. Can't write to it. If you click on link and see picture, you'll see icon on lower left of drive called "Archive_2."

Me too!!

I'm having the same problem, after having a boot problem and reinstalling 10.5.5.

My Mac thinks I'm no longer the Administrator, and clearly I am (I'm the only user, and the Accounts panel clearly shows I'm the Admin).

First, can you re-upload the picture? (preferably using MediaFire)

Second, check file permissions for the hard drive. You can change them in Finder- right-click the item, get info, then in the Sharing and Permissions section at the bottom. You may have to click on the lock at the bottom-right corner to change permissions.

If that doesn't work, check the formatting of the drive. Remember that Mac OS X cannot write to an NTFS drive. (OS X is compatible with HFS+ or Mac OS Extended, FAT, and can read NTFS )
