Hard drive is space where files go, applications, your system, documents.

Ram (memory) is what the applications use.

The more Hard Drive space you have the more Data you can put on your computer.

The more ram you have the more applications you can run at the same time.

Just to clarify that...RAM (memory) is short-term, for usage by programs that are currently running. Hard drive space is long-term, for all of your system files, documents, and programs to be stored.
