Hello!

I recently got a 2012 Mac Mini and installed my hard drive from my 2012 MacBook pro in addition to a 1TB SSD. I had been using time machine on my MBP but have yet to "restore" to my new SSD. I want to use my MBP drive as extra space while my SSD will be my main drive. Whats the best way to fully transition over everything from my MBP drive to my SSD? Thanks much!

Just use the included Disk Utility to format the SSD to Mac IS Extended (Journaled), then "restore" the HDD to to the SSD also using Disk Utility.

Once that is done reboot while holding the option key and select the SSD to boot from. Then open System Preferences and in the Startup Disk pane select the SSD as the boot drive.
