I have a brand new macbook pro and I don't believe the hard drive is bad in any way shape or form. I know that the motion sensors are moving the heads so it doesn't damage the disk but the noise makes me cringe everytime I move my laptop.
I'm planning to replace it with the 1TB drive instead but I was curious to know if I lose that 'motion sensor' feature completely or should it still work? None of my previous macbook pros made a noise this loud.
