Hard Drive Order

I have my desktop set as the following.. Macintosh HD, 3 external partitions, and then my iDisk. Is there a way to have the computer automatically recognize this order? So.. if I unplug my external and plug it back in, the icons will automatically go in the order I want them to?

Yes.

Well from what I notice for my external drives--and I sometimes have 5 plugged in at the same time--is that once you arrange them to your liking, they will fall into place in that order the next time they are mounted.
