hey! I need some urgent help so it would be great if you guys could help me!

I have this external 300GB HD with 120GB formatting in FAT32... the rest is unallocated free space. How can I convert this free space so hfs+? In disk utility, if I try to partition the free space it says it will also delete the FAT32 volume... I don't want this  how can I do this without losing the data on the FAT volume cause I don't have anywhere else to backup the data...

thanks in advance!

There is a program called iPartition that will let you do non-destructive partitioning... kinda costly though.

Other than that I'm not sure. Disk utility gave me a huge headache when I tried to make a linux partition on my PB. I just gave up.

yeah I tried iPartition on my friend's macbook but it said there wasn't any partition map or something and thus doesn't see my FAT32 drive so I'm afraid it will still erase that volume also... :( thanks for the quick reply though
