So I have a mybook 1 TB (2 x 500 GB) and I want to install it internally in my Mac Pro. So I took out the drives, put them in my Mac Pro and it recognizes them but it wants me to format them before they show up on my desktop as usable.

I don't have a MyBook, but how did you have it setup, to show-up as a single 1TB drive, two individual 500GB drives (is that even an option?) or as a mirror with 500GB of usable space?

If the two internal 500GB drives were configured to show up as a single 1TB drive (RAID 0) inside the MyBook then this is no surprise.

Thats what I figured... its in a Raid so it shows up as one 1TB drive. So I guess my only option is to format! I have stuff on there I need so im trying to find someone with a 1 tb hd i can borrow cause i have like 600 gb of stuff on there!
