Not sure if this is where I should post this but I need some help. I have a hitachi travelstar 60GB HDD that came out of a dell notebook. The computer no longer works (Hardware problem) and I want to get some files off of it. Could I put it in my Alu MBP and burn the files on to DVDs? Or would that cause problems? I'm trying to find the quickest but also cheapest way to do this.

I wouldn't try putting it in your MBP (you couldn't boot from it, anyway), but you can buy an external drive enclosure and connect it via USB or Firewire.

The easiest way to do this is to get an external case for the hard drive so you can pull the files off it. This, of course, assumes that the hard drive works. Then you'd always have access to them, and could continue to use the drive to store stuff.

Didn't think they were this cheap. Gonna go with <a href=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182145>this</a> unless someone has something better. Thanks guys.
