Not an exclusive Mac Pro question, but the general expertise level is high in this forum so...
My software RAID failed over the weekend (one of the caviar blacks appears to have failed and the mirror got corrupted too). I've been in the process of migrating my backup activities to a new windows home server and got caught without a complete backup of all the info on the RAID.
I'm looking for a utility to help recover the information.
The RAID failure/corruption has rendered the good mirror unreadable as the format is no longer recognized and the disk will not mount. (I split off the failed drive which had been the primary and tried to recover from the remaining drive and it still will not mount and the format is unrecognized.)
Which utility programs have you used with success to recover files after a surface scan to get around the directory corruption issues?
