Hi,

I am running low on hard disk space on my MBP. I need to delete or back up files that I no longer need on my mac.

I was wondering, in there any good app that would tell me what is using up my HD space?

Thanks

Finder can do that.

  1. With Finder Active, go to File -> Find...
  2. Search will appear in the Finder window.
  3. Choose This Mac and Contents, then click the + button on the right.
  4. In the first drop-down box, choose Other, then select Size.
  5. In the next drop-down box, choose "is greater than", then input the minimum size of the files you want to find. Be sure to select KB, MB, or GB as appropriate.

Finder will show you all the files that match your criteria. You can then trash them or move them right from this window.
