Does the hard drive speed (e.g 7200RPM and 5400RPM) influence gaming? Is there any significant increases in performance with a 7200RPM drive?

Faster HD will affect loading times, both when the games starts and when it has to load a new level or map in game. Obviously the faster the drive the faster it can load. 7200 will give a minor increase, SSD will provide a bigger boost.

Thanks for the clarification.

But, I was asking does it affect FPS or the HDD speeds only affect loading times and FPS boils down to the CPU and GPU.
