hard drive swap

Quick question if i have MBP can swap hard drives and be ready to use.

So i have two MBP's one with a small hard drive and one with a decent size. will i run into problems if i take out the larger hard drive put in the other one. then get a even larger one to replace the first.

If the two computers are the same generation, say mid-2009, and have the same OS version installed, you should be OK. Can always download and run the Combo updater to make sure you have the latest updates installed, also run the software update preference pane.
If the machines are from different generations, there may be driver/lack related issues, but you should be able to get around those, using the methods above.
May need to clear the PRAM (Option+Command+P+R keys down at startup).
Good luck, and be careful with the screws, they are small but very sneaky and like to fall off onto the floor and disappear. Also take care to use the right tools, Philips head 00 screwdriver and Torx #6.
