hard drive / time machine question + NTFS/FAT32

how much hard drive space do you recommend for time machine?

and if you format a hard drive to fat 32, can it be used in windows vista to transfer files?

TM works only with HFS+ formatted drives...I recommend you get one 3x the size of the stuff you want to backup...

ah...so pretty much if I enable time machine, then i will have to re-format this drive to HFS+ ?

should i just get like a 500 gig hard drive and use that for everything?
