Hard Drive used in Imacs

Does anyone know what make of Hard drives are used in the IMacs?

Seagate, Western Digital, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Samsung… depends on the supply at the time and Apple may use different brands more in notebooks and desktops.

edit: i think they are specially formatted out of the factory as HFS+ with a GUID partition scheme as indicated by the Apple logo on the hard drive label. of course you can use any hard drive you want providing it has the right form factor.
