My friend went to work the other day and left her powermac g5 on and it locked up and so her sister turned it off, and wasnt able to properly eject the external drive. Now her external won't mount. It is a Lacie firewire drive. Would computer locking up be considered as a power failure? I looked at Lacie's warranty. Any suggestions on how to get it working again? She needs all the information off of it, and would rather not have to send it to one of those places to pay a bunch of money to get the info off there.
I read through a couple past threads...So far, obviously check in the disk utility to see if it being seen, run Nortons to try to fix it, os9 disk first aid apparently helps it?...What other options can we try?
