New Mac Pro Quad 2.8 w/Seagate 500gb hard drive.
I want to install an internal drive 1.5 times larger than the primary.
Will this drive fit the connectors in the drive bay?

Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 3Gb/s NCQ 750GB 16MB Cache

Thanks!

CanadaRam sells the following for the Mac Pro (Jan. 2008) for $104.00. I got one about two months ago and it works great just let them know what model you have.

500Gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500 GB internal 3.5 SATA-II NCQ Serial ATA 7200 rpm: 32 MB cache 7200 RPM SATA Internal HD ST3500320AS

the link is

700GB not 500GB

Thanks anyway John,
I wanted the larger 700MB drive to fit in the bay for my TM backups.
I assume the connectors will work on the link I provided, if not would someone speak out.
Ready to pull the trigger,:D
Thanks

Sata

Hi DeuceDeuce,
I wasn't sure about the difference between esata and sata.
Thanks for your input.
Best,
