When I purchased my iMac and MacBook they had just the standard 1GB. Went onto Dabs today and got two Crucial 2x1GB for my MacBook and iMac for £16 each, then got a Western Digital 250GB SATA 5400rpm for my MacBook for £40!
I just can't live with the 80GB they provided. I maybe a bit behind the times, but I would have upgraded a lot sooner had I known they were that cheap. The reason I am upgrading is because I plan to go traveling in the summer, I need the space to hold all my music plus be able to accommodate all the photos with my DSLR.
No real point to this thread just amazed at how cheap it was, my MacBook should last a long while yet. As much as I would love a new unibody MacBook/Pro I just can't justify it, this MacBook as never skipped a beat. The only thing I would like is the better graphics chip, but you can't have it all.
What are peoples experiences with traveling with their MacBooks specifically in Australia? I have a few friends who are traveling the world and they seem to have regular access to Facebook to upload new pictures and give updates.
