Need a backup drive, really would like a bare internal to put in an OWC case.

Can't decide on a WD 640 or a 1TB for 25 more. Seems like the 1 TB is a better deal, but something in me says go for a faster drive. 1.5 TB seem to have problems.

Probably going to buy 2 drives, putting one to use as a sole backup for my MBP and the other for general back up and NAS duties hooked to an airport extreme.

So far it seems to be go for a WD or seagate, no maxtor. Havent heard anything about Samsung or Hitachi. Any ideas?

Any version of the above to go for (ie 3 vs. 4 platter, some kind of model to shy away from, etc.)

Just want to buy once and make sure it works and continues doing it.

Also looking at the OWC external single and/or dual solutions. Anything similar to the quad interface? Like the firewire 800/400/USB. Prob won't use the esata, but nice to know its there for the future.

Thanks in advance!
