Hard reset iPhone 7

Whenever I try to do a hard reset on the iPhone 7 (lock button + home button) it just brings me to my home screen. I still haven't been able to actually hard reset the device. I don't know if this a 10.1 beta issue or not, but I am running that if that makes any difference

The method has changed along with the introduction of the new home button.

You now use the sleep/wake button and the volume down button.
