Hi there- does anyone know if it is possible to do a hard reset on an Apple watch 2? it was synched with my old Iphone7 which got destroyed. I got a new iphone, changed my apple id password and now the old watch won't synch with the new phone because I don't remember my old apple id. Any workarounds other than buying a new watch? I wear it and it works fine as a very expensive basic watch and step counter, but I could get a Timex that would do that. Thanks!

You may also need to login you your old account to remove the activation lock. If you are still having trouble, take it to an Apple store.

Yes I have and I took it to the apple store today and they can’t do it either. I have to call apple support and send them my receipt apparently. It is still paired to my old iphone7 which is destroyed and I don’t remember what password I used long ago to pair it with my old phone. My new apple id password doesn’t let me pair the watch to my new phone. Such a hassle.have you tried the apple support procedure?
