iPod touch hard time booting iTouch 4g w/ tethered jb

I'm not sure which version is it running so I don't know which IPSW to push into redsnow (without IPSW it won't boot it up).

BTW, there's any chance for untethered jailbreak for this device, today?

In your settings -> general -> about, it'll tell you what version your running. Anyhow, Redsn0w (http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ second post down) will automatically detect the firmware your running and boot tethered from it.
