iPod touch Hard to drain the battery completely

Modern batteries actually prefer to have some charge left in them, likewise, they don't like to be constantly at full charge. A happy medium is best =)
I don't think that explains why your iPod doesn't seem to drain fully, without owning an iPod I can't tell, it might be designed to function like that though?
