I have the baseline model of the 2012 macbook pro, i've had it for about 3 months now just about 1 month ago the screen started to get harder to move and then gets a bit stuck and I have to add a bit more force, which leads to a cracking sound. I think the grease/lubricant wore out or something. Any suggestions?

Also, another problem i have that could be causing this, is the black hinge cover on the back of my macbook has a gap on the left side (about 2mm) and the right side looks in place. When i press down on the left side it has a little cracking sound, also.

Just went to best buy's geed squad and the guy told me that the hinge was too tight, and I am now sending it back to apple.
