Guys,

I have an iBook 600 with some fried gear on the Motherboard. It still works ok, but My AC Power Adapter has popped. Seeing as it can still be used (as long as I can get some power to it) until it finally gives up the ghost, it might make a nice web server (or digital picture frame). I was wondering/hoping anyone knew about the DC power through Battery Terminals Mod for the iBook. I saw it once in a forum, but after googling, I still can't find it.

If not, does anyone know where I can find the specs for what each terminal connector on the iBook's battery terminal are used for (will try to solder the power supply to them in a DC configuration).

If I have success, I'll post my results

Have you got an estimate from Apple? Might be worth to fix.

Yes, costs "more to fix than the entire machine is worth" (In their words):

$425 for the replacement parts + another $179 for a new power supply (Australian Dollars == .70 US cents)
