HardCandy Case for the 15" MBP Retina

After placing an order in July and waiting until today for delivery, I must admit my eagerly awaited HardCandy case was simply not worth the wait. Although the installation is fairly straight forward and the fit is OK, there are two glaring errors with the design, a) it is just thick enough to prevent full closure of the screen and b) I have issues with both the power and Thunderbolt cables from my 27" Apple TB Display fitting through the case to reach the ports. Couple this with non-existent customer support and my advice is look somewhere else for a case, this one is going back is they ever respond. I have attached pictures of the Speck case the HardCandy replaced and the HardCandy, the Speck is back on and will stay.

Totally agree with you that you should try and send that case back as it doesn't fit. However, what made you want to replace the speck case in the first place?

Just curious, does your Speck top case fit perfectly on? As in all of the tabs snap into place and equally leveled. I have 2 clear cases by Speck and the top piece just won't fits entirely...

I was looking for a black or gray case.

I got a cheap, black satin hard case for mine and it works pretty well. I did have to sand down the edge that latches on to the bottom near the trackpad because it was digging into my wrist.
