Yrp!
hi folks
my mbp has been fumblin with the harddisk lately rather inexplicably...tons of reads and writes, somethings for several minutes, and i cannot see what it is doing as i am not doing much myself...
so i wonder, there must be some sort of tool, maybe unix command line level, that shows the processes that are accessing the hd, to which programs they belong, and most importantly, what data they're ****ing with...
thanks for your help. phil

Code:
sudo fs_usage -f filesys

...will show which processes are accessing the disk.
