I've 2010 13.3" MBP with stock HDD and RAM. At present only 40GB of HDD is left out of 250GB. I normally use it for Digital Photography & Video editing. What is HDD upgrade recommendation on forum for 13.3" MBP ? I definitely need something bigger than 250GB as current one is not cutting for my usage.

Honestly I have the same issue and its getting worse. I'm waiting another year so I can buy a resonably priced 512GB SSD. If that doesn't work out Ill just sucker up buy a 256GB SSD and throw a 1TB HDD in the disk drive.

Please let me know if you find anything useful.

you have 2 options:

1) buy n external hard drive (500 GB) so you dont have to replace your own

2) buy an internal hard drive thats faster than the stock HD and use the old one as an external drive. This means opening up your mbp, doing the hd swap your self, reinstalling or copying everything to the new hard drive and using an enclosure to house the old HD.

I would go with option 2 personally but it depends how comfortable you are doing that.

For the price of drives these days I would just buy and replace yourself. Not sure of your skill level but its very easy to change a HDD.
