Recently, I would like to upgrade my harddisk from the 250GB 5400 to 500GB 7200. I have looked into Seagate Momentus ST9500420AS, and I have few questions about it:
1. wondering will it fit my MBP;
2. does it have the free sensor like the Hitachi HDD which came in MBP?
3. How is the performance?

Or does anyone can suggest me with a better HDD?

1. Yes
2. The sensor is built into the hard drive bay, not the drive. And I don't think the XT has a shock sensor.
3. I haven't tried one personally, but my friend says it's better than a standard HDD, but no where near as good as an SSD. He also has had some issues with the drive not spinning down properly when sleeping, but I think this is hit and miss.

I'd recommend a SSD+HDD setup, if you can get alone without the optical drive.
