Posted about this problem on the apple discussion boards but haven't managed to get a response so I thought I'd try over here!
I recently discovered that when I quicklook my harddrive icons on the dektop the icons are all messed up. It looks as if they are zoomed in (This also happens to the desktop folder that appears when clicking on the desktop in quicklook mode).
When I restart the finder they go back to normal, displaying the whole harddrive icons, but after a restart they are messed up again. I've tried to figure out if it's some cache file or preferences file that's messed up but haven't had much luck. Here below are links to pictures where you can see the messed up icons.
