harddrive spinning noise when playing pogo games

I play games in Pogo with no problems. But in the last 2 days when I play the same games the same way, the hard drive starts spinning and doesn't stop until I back out of the site. I can still play the game, it doesn't hang up but the hard drive won't stop running. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
I have a MacBook Pro. Thanks for your help.
