Harddrive won't sleep through thunderbolt display.

Hey guys, not sure if this has been addressed but I'm having the same problem I had with Maverick.

I have a firewire harddrive connected through my thunderbolt display but it won't sleep when inactive. The drive sleeps when I put the computer to sleep, but won't sleep when inactive.

Is there a fix for this?
