Hardrive showing a movie in graph of usage, but I don't have any movies in iTunes.

How do I get rid of it. At one time I had The Watchmen in there and deleted it. But there is some movie showing in the graph in the storage section of about your mac. It is taking up 3.6 gb that I would like to get back. Also, I have 23gbs of "other". I am running Lion. Is that excessive?

To find out, where you hard drive capacity is being used, you can use the following free applications:

• DiskInventory X
• OmniDiskSweeper
• JDisk Report
• GrandPerspective

Maybe try a combination of several, if you still can't find the "missing" capacity.

It is possible that when you deleted the movie from iTunes, you didn't select to at the same time move it to the trash. If so, then it is still sitting in your iTunes folder but is not listed in your iTunes Library. In Finder, check under /Users/{username}/Music/iTunes Music/Movies. If your "Deleted" movie is there, manually movie it to the trash.

Tried Disk Inventory X and still can't find it...

I thought it might be movies taken via iPhone/Ipod but the movie size is larger than my whole iPhoto library.
