So whenever we get a new OS on the mac side, people pick it apart and figure out if there are any clues to new hardware.

I'm wondering if anyone has found anything like that inside the new iPhone OS.

The only thing I've really heard about the 3rd Gen iPhone, is that people have been seeing iphone 2,1 in their web logs. The originial iPhone was 1,1 and the iPhone 3G is 1,2. So who knows what that means... That would be interesting though if there are clues hidden within the beta 3.0 os.:)

There is something interesting in there....

That leads us to the new discovery. The plist file for N18AP apparently includes the plist for N72AP, the second-gen iPod touch, leading to the speculation that the device is an updated iPod touch model. The only new capability listed, however, is "encode-aac."
