This is a security question I can't seem to find info on (or I'm not using search on the forums properly): Does Tiger run with data execution prevention (DEP)? Do the intel mac (macbook, etc) have that feature of the chips active in their BIOS so Tiger could use it?
I ask because this is one of the things Windows added to help prevent certain attack methods like buffer overflows. Such overflows can affect ANY Os (not just windows) Chip makers (both AMD and Intel) started supporting it at some point and Winxp and Vista take advantage of that.
Does the Mac? I cannot even tell how to check my bios or Tiger to see if that is operating.
