Hardware settings in Panther?

Hi,

I have a PB 12" which came pre-installed with Panther. In the "system preferences", under "other" it has "hardware" with a picture of the g4 processor. When I click on it, it shows...

L2 cache: None

with a drop down to change it to 512KB but whenever I change it, it never stays it reverts back to none.

Any idea how to get it to stay at 512KB?

There is also a checkbox with the following...

Power: NAP

Any idea what that is for?
