Harmon Kardon Soundstick III or Klipsch Pro Media 2.1

Price is about the same. Harmon Kardon may look a little nicer but I've always loved Klipsch products. I have their headphones and home theater speakers from them.

Thoughts?

I've had the Klipsch Promedia 4.1 (same as 2.1 with two extra satellite speakers) for probably 12 years now. Still love it.

I've only had to replace the subwoofer drivers, but that's not unexpected for its age, considering I thoroughly put it through hell and back when I was younger . The drivers were cheap and shipped uber fast from Hope, AR (Klipsch HQ). Not to mention the customer service was top notch.

Since you have a home theater you can connect the Mac to that. It will blow away measly computer speakers. Otherwise a former roommate had the Soundsticks with iSub and they were pretty decent.

I own the soundsticks and they are surprisingly good, but I've never tried anything from klipsch... Hmm not much help here.
