Well, like the title says - RIP ASUS mobo (Or AMD CPU, don't know which yet)

So, one of my PCs that I was going to sell off with a rather whopping amount of RAM in it appears to have found itself in the Mainframe In The Sky, so - I heard that the G5 quads take DDR2 RAM. Should the RAM lower its clock speed to that of the G5's standard, should I swap it out from the PC to the G5?

Yeah, the RAM I was thinking about putting in was DDR2-1066 and DDR2-800, I assumed they would clock down to 533. I would do it myself and see, but the G5 is in the mail, so... Just curious.

Wait, does the G5 need ECC RAM?
