Has anybody ever purchased something similar to this?

Apple sells a smaller, similar version of this product. It doesn't seem like there is much to lose being only a dollar but lint getting in the ports might be a problem. You could always kinda blow it out just like old GameBoy games but it may cause long-term damage somehow. Maybe try sacrificing something with similar ports and size? If you do get it, post a review type thingy on here, I'm kinda interested in it. Hope this helps little!

Yeah for the price worth a shot will do, and wow they actually look nearly identical to the Apple sock probably more or the less same material
 
Why don't you just get a cheap netbook sleeve from Walmart or Target...? Depending on the sale, you can get one for less than $10... And you won't have to wait a month.
