On El Capitan and Yosemite, the only way to get the CD version of the ARD to work it to install the app and then update it via AppStore. But with Sierra, there's no update yet.

So has anyone been able to get ARD (CD version) to work on Sierra? If yes, please show me how.

Thanks a lot. :)

You need to update the CD version the same way for Sierra as for El Capitan or Yosemite. Version 3.8 on the App Store works fine in Sierra. The directions here to get from 3.3 to 3.8 should still work. https://support.apple.com/ht201421
If you've already upgraded to 3.8 in El Capitan or Yosemite, you should see the application in the "Purchased" section of the App Store.

I upgraded last night on my Mac Pro 2009 (not supported but there is a workaround to change the firmware) and ARD works perfectly. Did you get the last update for 10.11.6?
