In my opinion, for Apple products, including AppleCare, that $20 is worth shelling out to make sure you get the exact thing you want, no scams, etc. I dunno, just my opinion.

I found Applecare for my Mac Mini for about $20 cheaper than Apple. I don't plan on buying from ebay so I will probably purchase it from Amazon. So has anyone bought Applecare from Amazon and it worked?

You get the same thing from Amazon that you get if you walked into the Apple Store - retail box and all. It's safe, and yes, you save money. I highly recommend it.

The previous poster's remarks are better referred to buying Apple Care from ebay, not Amazon.

Rest assured the $20 discount you get from Amazon does not make it a scam. I would buy from Amazon for the discount over Apple or take my chances on eBay.

Amazon is a legit site and have never had a problem buying through them directly - even macs.

However check the store's/seller's reputation if you buy it through amazon marketplace (individuals selling through online storefronts) though.

...was going to get it from LA computer but they wouldn't ship to a military FPO address... I checked amazon and it ended up being cheaper by a few bucks once you figured in the shipping cost to LA computer (that they wouldn't ship anyway)...
