Has anyone changed their default calling app to FaceTime Audio and got a weird reactions from others?

The few times I’ve used FaceTime Audio the person I call gets confused and says “I can’t see you!” or what is this, why did you call me this way etc.

Was wondering how many changed the default calling app and what was the reaction?
 
I haven’t done this but I keep thinking I should as the phone calls are encrypted using a FaceTime to FaceTime connection. I’m wish more people would use it.
